About Bloomineral

Bloomineral is building a carbon-negative materials platform based on a biomineralization process.

We take CO₂, industrial waste, and seawater and transform it into solid mineral forms that can be used in industrial materials, replacing emissions-intensive inputs with carbon-storing alternatives.

We’re an early-stage team working based primarily at LSCE in Paris-Saclay. Our current focus is simple: make the science work in real systems, and make it scale.

What you’ll do

Take our process out the lab and scale it.

You’ll lead the industrialization of Bloomineral’s biomineralization process, translating validated science into pilot and pre-industrial systems that are robust, cost-effective, and ready to scale. You’ll work across different sciences, engineering, and external partnerships to make sure the system performs in real conditions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the industrialization roadmap from pilot to industrial scale
• Design and validate pilot systems (process flows, reactors, instrumentation, automation)
• Own process performance: robustness, scalability, cost, and reliability
• Lead scale-up, optimization, and technical risk mitigation
• Structure technology transfer to partners or internal production
• Build and lead the industrialization / process engineering function

Profile

• Strong background (PhD or equivalent experience) in chemical, bioprocess, or environmental engineering
• Proven track record scaling complex bio / chemical systems from lab to industrial level
• Experience designing, building, or operating pilot plants
